It’s not everyday an international PR agency contacts you to be included in one of their articles, so when the New York City Journal emailed me and asked if I’d like to be part of their article acknowledging 30 people disrupting the fashion industry in 2022 I was completely lost for words.

As someone who is extremely passionate about their work I generally don’t take notice of the impact of my work as I’m really focused on delivering a successful project so I’m always surprised when I get acknowledged but of course it’s an honour. My goal is to continue to be disruptive in the NZ fashion industry, create opportunities for more pacific people to come through and help grow the pacific fashion industry into an industry that is relevant and makes sense to our community as opposed to “this is what the fashion industry is like” and “you need to make it work”. I don’t think so!
