Nine years ago, I launched the Pacific Fusion Fashion Show with a clear vision: to elevate Pacific fashion on the global stage and to one day be part of NZ Fashion Week. From the very beginning, I dedicated myself to curating a show that was professional, high-end, and proudly Pacific. My goal was not only to showcase our unique styles and artistry but also to build capacity within our community, ensuring that when the moment was right, PFFS would be ready to step onto the NZFW stage.

The journey wasn’t without its challenges. There were hurdles and moments of doubt, but my team and I remained committed. We worked tirelessly, maintaining our focus and consistency—our message never wavered. Over the years, beautiful people joined and moved on, but the core vision stayed strong.

Our collaboration with the NZFW team was instrumental, and together, we navigated the process, tweaking and refining along the way. Seeing our dream come to life was a testament to persistence and partnership.

As the celebration of nine remarkable years of the Pacific Fusion Fashion Show comes to an end, planning for the 10th anniversary next year has already begun. As always, I push myself out of my comfort zone, dreaming bigger and aiming to create an event that will truly blow everyone away. This milestone is more than just a celebration; it’s a testament to a decade of passion, resilience, and the power of Pacific fashion.
